Job Title: HR Generalist Assistant

Reports To: Employee Relations Director
Pay Structure: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Position Location: Livermore, California
Position Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm (1-hour meal break)

Cresco Equipment Rentals has an opening for a full-time non-exempt Human Resources Generalist Assistant with an emphasis on Staffing.  The ideal candidate has high integrity and commitment and posses values that support Cresco’s Core Values of Teamwork, Service and Fun.  This role is demanding and the person will need to work at a fast and accurate pace, possess strong follow through skills and exceptional attention to detail to be successful in this position.  You will have the opportunity to interface with all levels of the organization, while providing direct administration support to the Employee Relations Director.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Staffing and Interview Process for exempt and nonexempt employees
  • Assist the Employee Relations Director in the following areas:
    • Payroll Administration
    • Benefits Administration
    • Employee Relations
    • Company Employee Communication
    • Workers Compensation
    • FMLA, disability and other leaves of absences
    • Employee Orientation, Development and Training
  • Assist with the administration of the company policies, procedures and programs
  • Assist with other HR/Payroll or General Office special assignments and projects as assigned
  • Provide support for others as needed
  • Protects the interests of the employees and the Company in accordance with Company policies, and governmental laws and regulations.

Generalist Requirements

  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices.​
  • Experience in the administration of a recruiting/staffing program required
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with Paychex desired
  • Experience with Paychex Stratustime preferred

MOBILE IT TECHNICIAN

Job Title: Mobile IT Technician

Reports To: Controller
Pay Structure: Regular Full-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $24.50 – $29.00 hourly

We are seeking an Mobile IT Technician to join our corporate team, and will report to the Controller.  This position is based in Livermore, California and services all of our Cresco locations.  A company vehicle will be provided to travel between locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support for all end-users with hardware, software, and application issues by troubleshooting and resolving problems

  • Installing electronic devices, cabling, TVs, Cameras

Education, Experience and Required Skills, Including Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years IT Helpdesk experience
  • 1+ years IT troubleshooting experience and customer service
  • 1+ years PC and Network hardware troubleshooting, including wireless AP’s
  • 1+ years experience with Windows 10 (current basic utilization understanding desktops)
  • Basic Network knowledge including VPNs
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Office 365
  • Basic Apple product knowledge

Physical Demands and Work Environment

CREDIT MANAGER

We are looking for a skilled Credit Manager that has the ability to function well as the leader of a team.  The successful candidate must be positive and approachable, work effectively with diverse personalities and be able to collaborate,.  They also must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our clientele efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Accounts Receivable cycle through implementation, maintenance and coordination of all A/R collection activities
  • Manage analysis of credit to estimate risk when extending credit to customers
  • Manage approval of processed credit applications
  • Manage certificates of insurance to ensure requirements are met
  • Manage customer credit limits
  • Manage negotiations of condition and terms of equipment sales
  • Analysis of customer accounts, payment history and purchase activity
  • Analysis of customer records, collection attempts and payment history and make recommendations to remedy

DRIVER TRAINER

Job Title: Driver Trainer

Reports To: Employee Relations Director
Department: Employee Relations
Work Schedule: Minimum 8 hours/day, Monday-Friday, with overtime as necessary

Your primary responsibility is to administer the training for all newly hired and current Cresco drivers in the following areas, but not limited to:

  • Review proper loading/unloading of equipment operation
  • Review proper paperwork procedures
  • Review rules of the road safety
  • Review customer service technique focusing on “the Cresco way”
  • Perform pre-hire evaluation and ride-a-along as needed
  • Provide support and guidance as needed with current Cresco drivers
  • Complete one-on-one training with newly hired drivers, minimum 3-10 days.
  • Complete 60-day follow-up with newly hired drivers

Additionally, with the guidance of our Safety Manager you will be responsible to ensure that Cresco is in compliance in areas related to maintaining a fleet of delivery trucks (i.e. truck permits, municipal regulations, electronic log books, DOT training, etc.) and to provide annual DOT training.

Requirements

  • Insurable Class-A Commercial Driver License and unexpired DOT Medical Card

DIRECTOR OF TRAINING & EDUCATION

Job Title: Director of Training & Education

Reports To: Employee Relations Director
Department: Employee Relations
Work Schedule: 7:00am-5:00pm
Pay Structure: Non-Exempt / Salary

This role is demanding, and the person will need to work at a fast and accurate pace, possess strong follow through skills and exceptional attention to detail to be successful in this position. You will have the opportunity to interface with all levels of the organization and with external customers.

Your primary responsibility is to manage the activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery and need assessment of training and development programs for company employees through our Cresco University. Use needs assessment tools to determine the effectiveness of proposed training programs. As needed, interacts with and assists corporate management to develop specifications for content of specific courses. Conducts follow up to determine applicability of course material. Additionally, maintain and provide external training as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Insurable Class-C Driver License
  • College degree in related field preferred
  • Knowledge & experience of the rental equipment industry preferred
  • Previous training experience required
  • Must have excellent personable and communication skills
  • Must have good computer and organizational skills
