We are in search of skilled Drivers that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our clientele efficiently.  The primary responsibility of the Driver is to help meet the equipment needs of customers by delivering and picking up equipment in a timely, safe and courteous manner as well as operate a variety of construction rental equipment. The Driver is permitted to operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“low boys”).  We seek highly motivated and experienced Drivers with a background in construction and industrial equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, gas and diesel machinery is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

Must hold a valid California Commercial Class A Driver License
Must have a driving record in Good Standing. To be in Good Standing, a Driver must present a current DMV printout report with none of the violations below*:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prioritize and assign equipment service and repairs to mechanics
Responsible for following up with equipment mechanics and small tool mechanics to ensure shop work is performed to Cresco Standards and completed in a timely manner
Communicate with store office staff to ensure that equipment is serviced and repaired quickly and efficiently
Ensure that all equipment maintenance is in compliance with Cresco safety standards and practices
Reports any problems or potential problems with equipment to the Store Manager
Assigns wash-rack duties & wash pad, pressure washer, & recycling equipment maintenance as needed
Organize and define three (3) distinct lines of equipment. The lines should include “available” equipment, “wash rack” equipment and “inside shop” equipment
Review and inspect the returned equipment list (wash rack) on a daily basis
Ensure that all equipment is tagged with any necessary descriptions of problems and in a visible area for inspection

The Rental Coordinater does a variety of manual tasks in support of the branch operation. The primary objective is to provide counter and phone support to customers and other Cresco locations. This position also provides labor assistance to mechanics, sales staff and other branch personnel engaged in meeting the needs of customers, including the checkout and demonstration of equipment.

Job Summary, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Loading/unloading equipment for customers and drivers
Upon unloading of equipment, checking for damage to equipment
Refueling of gasoline or diesel, oil, water levels for equipment, pressure washers and forklifts
Cleaning and servicing of small air tools, small electric tools, and bulk rental items
Testing equipment to make sure it works properly
Occasional repainting of equipment and re-scribing of equipment numbers
Assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of rental discharge, suction and other hoses
Cleaning of larger rental items (rollers, Rammax compactors, etc.) using a pressure washer on wash pad

Prioritize and assign equipment service and repairs to mechanics
Responsible for following up with equipment mechanics and small tool mechanics to ensure shop work is performed to Cresco Standards and completed in a timely manner

Ensure that all equipment maintenance is in compliance with Cresco safety standards and practices

The Rental Coordinater does a variety of manual tasks in support of the branch operation. The primary objective is to provide counter and phone support to customers and other Cresco locations. This position also provides labor assistance to mechanics, sales staff and other branch personnel engaged in meeting the needs of customers, including the checkout and demonstration of equipment.

Loading/unloading equipment for customers and drivers
Upon unloading of equipment, checking for damage to equipment

Driver Trainer

Reports To: Employee Relations Director
Department: Employee Relations
Work Schedule: Minimum 8 hours/day, Monday-Friday, with overtime as necessary

Your primary responsibility is to administer the training for all newly hired and current Cresco drivers in the following areas, but not limited to:

Review proper loading/unloading of equipment operation
Review proper paperwork procedures
Review rules of the road safety
Review customer service technique focusing on “the Cresco way”
Perform pre-hire evaluation and ride-a-along as needed
Provide support and guidance as needed with current Cresco drivers
Complete one-on-one training with newly hired drivers, minimum 3-10 days.
Complete 60-day follow-up with newly hired drivers

Additionally, with the guidance of our Safety Manager you will be responsible to ensure that Cresco is in compliance in areas related to maintaining a fleet of delivery trucks (i.e. truck permits, municipal regulations, electronic log books, DOT training, etc.) and to provide annual DOT training.

Requirements
